What is the Political Courage Test?

Montana Congressional Election 2012 Political Courage Test

Pro-choice Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?
The choice is up to women.
No Do you support United States' combat operations in Afghanistan?
No Do you support a timetable for withdrawal from Afghanistan?
Should never of gone. Bring them home now. A new group of fine men and women ship out to help the Afghans learn to read and write. We have been there for 10 years and 95% of the Afghan security force can not read or write now. Just to be clear I have the upmost respect and pride for our men and women in the armed forces, it is that I am suspect as to why we choose the wars we do and put our kids in harms way for what could be deemed political reason and not national defense.

Indicate which proposals you support (if any) for balancing the federal budget. In order to balance the budget,

No do you support reducing defense spending?
No do you support an income tax increase on any tax bracket?
Yes do you support reducing Medicaid spending?
Yes do you support reducing Medicare spending?
Yes Is balancing the budget a legislative priority?
We need a strong defense. The rest of the world thinks we are weak. Regarding Medicaid and Medicare, both have huge waste and fraud problems that can be and should be fixed day one. We need a balanced budget amendment.
No Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions?
Montana HAD a state Constitutional Amendment banning all corporate campaign contributions. Back in the 1800's the mining kingpins used to buy their candidates. [...]
Yes Do you support capital punishment for certain crimes?
No Do you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth?
Yes Do you support providing tax incentives to businesses for the purpose of job creation?
Yes Do you support spending on infrastructure projects for the purpose of job creation?
No Do you support the temporary extension of unemployment benefits?
Yes Do you support the 2010 temporary extension of tax relief?
I want to see a very small government that has a great defense and provides for infrastructure. I want to see little taxes. A lot of candidates say these same things year after year. They mean well, but once elected the power of Washington corupts them. If you visit my website www.vote4you.us you will see in my video that I've laid out a common sense approch to assure you the great voters of Montana that I will not be bought and paid for [...]
No Do you support requiring states to implement education reforms in order to be eligible for competitive federal grants?
Someone please explain to me how it make any sense to have taxpayers send money to the federal level and expect them to come up with a one size fits all solution to our education system. Since 1957 the feds have attempted to improve our kids learning in the areas of math and science. 55 years later and billions of dollars flushed down the drain our kids are still ranked the same as they were in 1967. Shut down the federal department of education and shift it to the states. Again folks it is just pure common sense.
Yes Do you support reducing restrictions on offshore energy production?
We have enough energy here in the U.S. to supply us for the next 300 years, in the meantime we will and should develop alternative means of energy. The government should not be loaning billions of dollars to companies that simply donate to one's campaign. [...] Vote for David Kaiser, that's David Kaiser. Thank you.
Yes Do you believe that human activity is contributing to climate change?
No Do you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions?
The Earth is 4,540,000,000 years old. Humans have been around for about 200,000 years. The United States is 236 years old. Earth has and will contiune to change and those changes will have far greater effects on the climate then whatever affects humans have on the earth. By our own actions we could destroy all of mankind but Earth will still be here and will contiune to be here for billions of years. We have become so politically correct that we have allowed some radical environmentalists to shut down our industrial progress because of a spotted owl or rare weed.
No Do you support restrictions on the purchase and possession of guns?
Again folks, common sense, if everyone in the United States of America over the age of 18 were allowed to conceal and carry a gun, crime in the U.S would decrease. The crackhead that needs his or her fix know no one can carry so they feel just fine walking into a shop and shooting them for money. Imagine if you would, if that same crackhead walks into the same shop and says stick em up, give me all your money. He or she slowly turns around to see the barrel of seven pistols pointed at his or her head.
Yes Do you support repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act?
No Should individuals be required to purchase health insurance, as mandated in the 2010 Affordable Care Act?
I need more then 100 words to express my thoughts on this manner. Please go to www.vote4you.us click on events and you will see a 600+ word answer on this subject.
No Do you support requiring illegal immigrants to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship?
Yes Do you support allowing illegal immigrants, who were brought to the United States as minors, to pursue citizenship without returning to their country of origin?
Yes Do you support the enforcement of federal immigration law by state and local police?
Let apply some common sense on this subject. In the 50's to early 90's we were in need of cheap labor. The Feds knew that millions of ilegal immigrants were here working and did nothing about it, why, because we the people did not want anything done about it, who else would take those jobs, we needed illegals. Today after the feds destory our housing and banking business we find ourselves saying hey, we want those jobs now. So we are in a pickle. We created the problem and we can solve it. Just elect David Kaiser this November. Tks
Yes Do you support same-sex marriage?
Again, all I want is a smaller government, less taxes and regarding social issues, for the government to get out of the way. Since when do we, the people of Montana, look to a few elected public servants to tell us how and with whom to conduct our private lives. When you see your son or daughter conducting themselve in a manner that seems socially unacceptable, do you handle it yourself with common sense reasoning or do you call up your U.S. House of Representative and demand that a bill be drafted and passed outlawing such behavior. Common sense folks.
Yes Do you support targeting suspected terrorists outside of official theaters of conflict?
Yes Should the U.S use military force in order to prevent Iran from possessing a nuclear weapon?
What to do if we know for a fact that someone or some group is planning to bomb Glacier National Park. If we let them enter the US the odds of pulling it off are 95%, if we stop them before entering the odds drop to 1%. So, kill them here or there? You tell me. Iran's global drama could of been pervented years ago, it been allowed to continue in order for us to justify sending troops. Is it political or national defense? You tell me. Where are the questions regarding Euorpe's financial troubles or about helping Israel.
Yes Do you support allowing individuals to divert a portion of their Social Security taxes into personal retirement accounts?
Americans need to be told the truth about Soical Security. The feds have been raping the fund for years and knew it was headed for disaster. Now we have another federally controlled product that needs fixing. I have a solution, and it is a painful one. We can not turn a blind eye to the problem. I'd HOPED we had learned our lesson in allowing the federal Government to run our lives, I see that has not CHANGEd with ObamaCare. I urge the voters of Montana to vote OUT the progressive democrats and republicans and vote the Libertarians IN. Tks

Agriculture, arts, education, environment, medical and scientific research, and welfare should all be handled at the state level. Homeland security has some parts that could be folded into defense, the rest is gone. International aid is to be determined on a case by case basis and done so on a year to year basis. United Nation, really?
It's your money you tell me how to spend it. Common sense folks
All priorities should be determined by the voters of Montana. Montana has 998,000 people and only one U. S. House of Representative. No one man nor one woman can truly represent all 998,000. So, I've created a website called vote4you.us where I post all bills and ask the voters for their opinion. As my brother told me, what a novel approach, someone in Washington that truly represents the voters of Montana. I've established a set of rules that would not allow me to be corrupted by the power of Washington. Please go to vote4you.us and watch my video. Thank you.
